Denis Mayer Limited Edition Art Prints
Canadian wildlife artist, Denis Mayer Jr., has earned international acclaim for his unique style of wildlife painting that offers not only remarkably realistic representations but also images infused with energy, vitality and warmth. Denis has received various prestigious acknowledgements and awards, including:
BC Wildlife Federation - "Artist of the Year 2011", BC Wildlife Federation "Artist of the year 2018",
Ducks Unlimited - "Artist of the year 2012", Ducks Unlimited "Artist of the National Portfolio 2007-2018".
On a few recent occasions, The Royal Canadian Mint has commissioned Denis to submit specific artwork for use on their Collectable Coins Collection
Dennis has very kindly donated 5 spectacular limited edition prints for our auction to support Unity Fest. Each of these prints sells for considerably more than we are asking. Each one is one of 100 prints available worldwide.

African Djembe Drum

A djembe or jembe is a rope-tuned skin-covered goblet drum played with bare hands, originally from West Africa. (not actual pic)
According to the Bambara people in Mail, the name of the djembe comes from the saying "Anke djé, anke bé" which translates to "everyone gather together in peace" and defines the drum's purpose.
The djembe has a body (or shell) carved of hardwood and a drumhead made of untreated (not limed) rawhide, most commonly made from goat skin.
The djembe can produce a wide variety of sounds, making it an extremely versatile drum. The drum is very loud, allowing it to be heard clearly as a solo instrument over a large percussion ensemble.
